I love my camera!

My wonderful hubby gave me my camera for Christmas 2 years ago and it's rare that we are ever separated! (Me and my camera, that is! wink) I love capturing moments and being able to look back on them months, years down the road. And how boring would my blog be if I didn't have pictures to show the silly antics that are going on?!?! It may be sad to admit, but when I come across a blog with no pictures ... bye-bye, too boring!

I do not claim to be a "photographer"...I like to think of myself as a picture-taker! One day I'll take a class to learn the true potential of this little Nikon, but until then, I'll just keep snapping away! Here are some of my pics that I love!

I love my family!

Family is so important to me! There is a quote by Desmond Tutu that I love... "You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them." This is so true! I know that my family (both mine and John's) is a huge gift to me! And I dearly hope that they feel that I am a gift to them.

As I look back over important events in my life, the constant piece that is always there, is my family. Good times, sad times, silly times and even mad times (we all have some of those!) family has been with me and it gives me such a feeling of comfort!

I love MoonPies! Come on, I'm a Southern girl, wouldn't I be breaking some kind of law if I didn't love them? And they now make a smaller version - the Mini MoonPie! So you don't have to feel too guilty about eating a whole one!

Extra, Extra - Read all about it!

I'll admit it, I'm a magazine junkie! I love me some monthly publications! Whether it's Paula Deen offering up some comfort food recipes or the folks from Better Homes and Garden giving me tips on decorating or gardening, I love reading magazines!


Even one of my neighbors helps with my addiction by placing her People magazine in my mailbox when she's finished reading it! That keeps me up to date on all of the Hollywood news!

Now, if I could only bring myself to throwing them all away once I'm finished reading them!

My favorite place to rejuvenate these "mommy bones" is the beach! Any beach! Put my toes in the sand and instantly, my muscles relax, my mind clears and I just want to sit back and take in this beautiful work of God's hands!


And when I'm not at the beach...I'm here daydreaming about it!
