Livin' the "mom" life.

I feel like I've been M.I.A lately.

No, Brad Pitt hasn't taken me away again, we're just back into the school schedule and I'm livin' the mom life.

I would list the many activities that I'm involved in, but I don't want it to come across the wrong way. I volunteer my help in several different areas and I love it! Does it make my days busy? YES! Does it take away from some of my personal time? YES! Do I sometimes complain about it all? YES! But, the reality of it is that I truly enjoy it!

So anyway, my days just haven't been full of much exciting stuff; therefore,my blogging mind has taken a hiatus. But, I'll catch you up on our latest happenings and hope some creative ideas pop into my head soon!

Here's what we've been up to...

Sam started karate and loves it!

Lily turned 5! (Where has my baby gone?)

This is the first birthday party for Lily that has had a majority of girls! School has finally brought my sweet girl some female playmates!

And finally, look at what Sam wrote on his school folder....

How am I supposed to get mad at anything, if I see that when I look in his folder?!?!

Momin' it~

A weekend on the water!

A couple of weekends ago, we had the pleasure of being invited to one of our friend's families lakehouse on Lake Burton! Well, of course we didn't think twice about it and jumped at the chance to join them! First of all, the friend is my friend of over 30 years, Nicole. I sooo treasure this friendship. It is unbelievable to me that this is the same girl that I'd play Barbie with when we were 9 years old. And even better, we now have children that play together! (And secretly, we still act as goofy as we did in 1977! Just ask our husbands!)

So when the invitation was extended, we were packed and ready to go!

As always, Sam has no problem being the only boy!

The lake water is amazingly clear!

Of course, all of the kids had to try their hand at navigating the water.

We ate on the water.

We tubed on the water.

Some even "got cozy" on the water!

We soaked up the beautiful surroundings!

We were blown away by some of what we saw?!?! (Can you see the man sitting on the veranda in the first picture?)

But my favorite part was this.....

Does anyone recognize these cuties?!?!

Circa 1978 in the K-Mart photo booth!

Fun filled weekend~

P.S. Of course the men were there. We needed someone to blow up the raft!
